Church of God Mission International Incorporated was divinely born by the urge of the Holy Spirit with specific instructions of the Lord to Archbishop B.A. Idahosa as stated:

“Raise up an army for me, to go with the gospel to all Nations. Gather together those whom I have called and I will send them with the fire of my spirit. Give my word and your example to many who will go to teach, preach and heal”

Church of God Mission International, as it known today, grew from a very humble beginning in 1962 as a prayer group first named Calvary Fellowship at a shop on Ivbizua Street, off Mission Road. It was officially inaugurated in 1965 by Rev. Edgar Perkins. On October 26th 1968, Rev. Perkins approached the Assemblies of God to release Benson Idahosa, then a Sunday School Superintendent, to oversee the prayer ministry. The fellowship moved to No. 26, Forestry Road, Benin City with Pastor Benson Idahosa fully in-charge. The membership of the fellowship grew numerically. Pastor Benson Idahosa decided to build a church and this began his building ministry. He moved the members to Iyaro Church and on 18th of September, 1974. The church was registered under the Land perpetual succession Acts and Certificate number 1245 was issued. By the time Church of God Mission Iyaro was completed the membership had risen tremendously. The church was declared opened by Papa Gordon Lindsay and Papa Elton

MIRACLE CENTRE BISHOPRIC

[dropcap type=”1″]M[/dropcap]iracle Centre is the 2nd seat of the Archbishop of Church of God Mission International, Most Rev. M.E. Benson-Idahosa JP, OON. We are so proud to be one of the flagship churches of CGM International, and one of only 3 churches personally pastored by the Late Archbishop, B.A. Idahosa himself. We share our beautiful grounds with his monument.

Built and dedicated in 1975, the church enjoys a great history and legacy with many of the greatest preachers, teachers and evangelists of the time ( Including T.L. Osborne, Bishop John Meyers and Oral Roberts) having passed through its halls. It took faithful members personally carrying blocks and

bags of cement on their heads to get the building completed and now it stands as a Heritage ground for the City and Edo state. Boasting a strong trans – generational membership with lively Outreach and Activity groups, we are a loving and caring family, here to minister to you.

The church has been tasked mission to raise men and women who would take over in every sector and sphere of life. We are a people with a purpose, called by God to dominate on earth.

In Miracle Center, burdens are lifted, chains are broken, destinies are molded and lives are transformed. We believe in teaching the undiluted word of faith and here we live only by the word of God.

We believe in the word as the only and final authority in every situation and we try to inculcate such beliefs in our people thereby removing them from the yokes of being tossed from pillar to post.

We believe in the God as the trinity, which comprises of God the Father, The Son and The Holy spirit and we also believe in efficacy of prayer.

Miracle Center is a church with all ages, both the young and old. We have a system that in cooperates and involves the next generation and also gives relevance to the older generation and the mix of youth and experience tends to bring the church to life.
